The Lattice Before the Fall<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Long before Hexarion fractured \u2014 before Glyphexes shimmered with bound will, before CE was counted like coin \u2014 the world pulsed with raw order<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of this balance were the Arcanodes<\/strong> \u2014 six monumental constructs that anchored the very laws of existence<\/strong>: shaping energy<\/strong>, life<\/strong>, motion<\/strong>, memory<\/strong>, matter<\/strong>, and perception<\/strong>. They were not worshipped. They were understood<\/strong> \u2014 in the way scholars understand stars or tides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But understanding can curdle into hunger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Glyphsmith Ambition<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

What began as curiosity among the ancient Glyphsmith guilds<\/strong> soon became a race. Glyph-princes carved deeper and deeper channels<\/strong> into the Arcanodes, seeking to imprint their will<\/strong> upon reality itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They did not know that the lattice was alive<\/strong> in its own way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first signs were subtle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Memories failed<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Entire cities flickered between planes of existence like drifting echoes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Then came the Collapse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Glyphfire Storm<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    It began at Vorthar Spire<\/strong>, the original seat of the Mind Arcanode. On what should have been a silent dusk, the sky cracked open with a spiraling helix of white flame<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Glyphfire<\/strong>, unbound and lawless, surged into every leyline. Glyphexes shattered midcast. Unstable resonance tore Hexmasters apart<\/strong> in the middle of thought. Some were left echoing<\/strong>, trapped in temporal bleed. Others exploded into fractal glyphshards<\/strong>. Entire Orders vanished in less than a breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Core Energy no longer obeyed command<\/strong> \u2014 it bled, wild and red, into the soil. The Arcanodes, once silent stewards, howled<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Some say the Fracture happened that day<\/strong>. Others believe it was already happening \u2014 and the Collapse was simply the moment humanity heard it scream<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The First Survivors<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    In the Collapse\u2019s wake, a few Hexmasters survived \u2014 most maimed in spirit<\/strong>, if not in form. Some lost their attunements entirely<\/strong>. Others found their Glyphexes humming with new, unstable edicts<\/strong>. The rules were different. Reality had re-written the glyphs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    These survivors formed the earliest Hexbound Orders<\/strong>, vowing never again to twist the Arcanodes for ambition. But the damage was already done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • The Arcanodes still beat<\/strong>, but they no longer agreed<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • CE became both resource<\/strong> and relic<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
