Attack is one of the three Basic Edicts included on every Glyphex in Hexarion Conquest. It’s the most fundamental offensive action in the game — simple, direct, and lethal.
Attack – Edict Definition
Effect:
Deal 1 damage to an adjacent enemy Hexmaster.
Key Properties:
| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | Basic / Offensive |
| Range | Adjacent (1 hex away) |
| Target | Enemy Hexmaster only |
| Damage | 1 |
| CE Cost | ❌ None — always free to use |
| Can be Blocked By | Shielded, Clone Decoy, Fortify |
| May Be Boosted By | Marked status (+1 extra damage) |
Tactical Use:
- Finish off weakened Hexmasters
- Apply pressure to zone control
- Combo with Mark, Push, or Backstab for value turns
- Costless, so ideal when conserving CE or holding Glyphex abilities
Limitations:
- One activation per turn — your selected Hexmaster can move or act, not both
- A Hexmaster cannot use the same Edict two turns in a row
- Must be Attuned to a Glyphex to use Attack (Basic Edicts are Glyphex-granted)
Attack appears on every Glyphex.
All 15 base Glyphexes in Hexarion Conquest include the 3 Basic Edicts:
- Attack
- Dash
- Fortify
These three universal abilities are built into every Glyphex, regardless of its Variable Edicts.
Why?
Because Glyphexes serve as the core ability interface in the game. Attuning a Hexmaster with a Glyphex grants them:
- The 3 Basic Edicts
- The 3 Variable Edicts unique to that Glyphex
So once attuned, a Hexmaster always has access to:
- Attack (adjacent 1 damage)
- Dash (2-hex move in a line)
- Fortify (gain Shielded)
The only exception is Unattuned Hexmasters, who can only use their Class Edict.
