The Fracture
The Day the Sky Cracked
The Fracture was not a battle. Not a spell. Not even a war.
It was the moment six ancient forces — the Arcanodes — pulsed in unison and broke the world. Cities vanished. Glyphlines failed. Magic bled wild into the soil.
From this chaos rose the Hexbound Orders, and with them, the return of an ancient calling: the Hexmasters.
“It wasn’t a scream. It was silence — so total it made the stars tremble.”

The Arcanodes
The Pulse Beneath Reality
Before the collapse, the Arcanodes were stable beacons of metaphysical law. Now they are fractured titans — still pulsing, still dangerous, still divine.
Arcanode | Domain | Post-Fracture Effect |
---|
Essence | Life, healing, spiritual energy | Unstable — surges of life and decay alternate |
Motion | Time, speed, tempo | Temporal glitches — stuttered or accelerated time |
Command | Logic, structure, glyph control | Spell logic fragments, Edicts glitch mid-use |
Form | Matter, terrain, resistance | Terrain flux — energy and matter swap roles |
Sight | Perception, foresight | Shows false futures or hallucinated threats |
Ruin | Decay, destruction | Awakens ruinborn — entropy given form |
Legendary Hexmasters
“Some Hexmasters fight for dominion. These fought to shape the world.”
— Inscription, Codex Vitae Infinitum
From the ancient duel-chambers of the Shardspire to the silent woods where the Verdant Sigil first bloomed, a rare few Hexmasters left more than footprints on the field — they left echoes in the Core itself. These are the Legendary Hexmasters: paragons, zealots, visionaries, and traitors whose names endure in carved stone, battle lore, and forbidden glyphscript.
- Vaedra Lys, Warden of the Shardspire, held the eastern line for seven days without a single CE point lost. They say she made the walls listen.
- Darnic Thorne, The Iron Vowbearer, marched into the ruins of the Emberclad Vaults alone — and returned with a broken Arcanode shard pulsing in his chest.
- Erynn Moressal, Voice of the Verdant Sigil, didn’t fight battles. She ended them. Entire Orders changed sides after hearing her speak beneath the Spiral Grove.
- Selix Vayne, Veilblade of the Hollow Path, was never confirmed seen… only recorded by the aftermath. And the silence.
Each of these figures reshaped more than the battlefield. They redefined what it means to be a Hexmaster.

The Hexbound Orders
Six Orders. Six Philosophies. One Broken World.
When the Arcanodes fractured, new Orders formed in their shadow — each one interpreting the collapse through its own lens of truth, survival, or conquest.
Order | Arcanode Aligned | Philosophy | Tactics |
---|---|---|---|
Emberthorn Compact | Infernal | Power through pressure | CE burn, explosive damage |
Verdant Coil | Vitalis | Growth through ruin | Rooting, revival, regeneration |
Iron Sigil | Mechanus | Precision is power | Traps, positional control |
Eclipsed Eye | Veil | Truth cloaked is truth protected | Illusions, decoys, fog tactics |
Dawnmarked Enclave | Lumin | Light remembers | CE manipulation, shielding, soulcraft |
Obsidian Vow | Wrath | Endure through discipline | Disruption, resilience, melee lockdown |
“The Orders began as shepherds. They ended as sovereigns.”
— Chronicles of the Hexbound
