Dash is one of the three universal Basic Edicts found on every Glyphex in Hexarion Conquest. It’s a mobility-focused ability used to reposition, retreat, or engage with speed — a key tool in navigating the 19-hex battlefield.
Dash – Edict Definition
Effect:
Move up to 2 hexes in a straight line.
Cannot pass through or land on occupied hexes.
Key Properties:
| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | Basic / Movement |
| Range | 1–2 hexes |
| Direction | Must move in a single straight line |
| Pathing | ❌ Cannot pass through or land on hexes with any Hexmaster |
| CE Cost | ❌ None — free to use once selected |
| Condition | Can only be used if the Hexmaster is not Rooted |
Tactical Uses:
- Rapid repositioning to reach strategic hexes (Resonance, Sanctums, flanks)
- Escape from danger zones or potential traps
- Surprise enemy positioning (especially when combined with Mark or Backstab)
- Reach Revive zones, block deployment paths, or avoid terrain like Root Traps
Limitations:
- You must be attuned (i.e., have a Glyphex equipped) to use Dash
- Can’t use the same Edict two turns in a row on the same Hexmaster
- Dash ≠ teleport — blocked by other units
All Glyphexes in Hexarion Conquest include Dash — because it’s one of the three Basic Edicts built into every single Glyphex.
Basic Edicts (included on all Glyphexes)
- Attack – Deal 1 damage to an adjacent enemy
- Dash – Move up to 2 hexes in a straight line (cannot pass through occupied hexes)
- Fortify – Gain Shielded until the start of your next turn
Summary:
| Glyphex Name | Includes Dash? |
|---|---|
| All 15 Base Glyphexes | ✅ Yes |
The only time a Hexmaster cannot use Dash is when:
- They are Unattuned (no Glyphex equipped)
- They are Rooted
- They used Dash on the previous turn
