Fortify

Fortify is one of the three Basic Edicts found on every Glyphex in Hexarion Conquest. It’s your go-to defensive tool β€” simple, powerful, and often the difference between survival and elimination.

Fortify – Edict Definition

Effect:
This Hexmaster gains Shielded until the start of your next turn.

What is Shielded?

  • Shielded blocks the next source of damage the Hexmaster would take.
  • It’s a single-use damage buffer, removed once triggered.
  • It is tracked using a Runed Siglum placed on the Hexmaster.
  • The Shield effect expires at the start of your next turn if unused.

Key Properties:

Tactical Uses:

  • Soak an incoming Arcshock, Backstab, or Attack
  • Protect key units holding Sanctums or the Resonance Hex
  • Stall for time while charging CE or waiting to Reclaim a Glyphex
  • Enable frontline tanks (e.g. Warrior with Hold the Line) to stall multi-turn engagements

Fortify appears on every Glyphex in Hexarion Conquest, because it is one of the three Basic Edicts that are automatically included on all Glyphexes.

Basic Edicts (included on all Glyphexes)

  1. Attack – Deal 1 damage to an adjacent enemy
  2. Dash – Move up to 2 hexes in a straight line
  3. Fortify – Gain Shielded until the start of your next turn

These three are always accessible when a Hexmaster is Attuned with any Glyphex.

The only way a Hexmaster cannot use Fortify is:

  • If they are Unattuned (no Glyphex equipped)
  • If they used Fortify on their last turn (Edict repeat restriction)
