Ignite

Ignite is a Variable Edict in Hexarion Conquest, designed for safe, mid-range aggression. It allows a Hexmaster to strike from a distance, bypassing terrain and tight formations — making it one of the most reliable offensive tools in the game.

Ignite – Edict Definition

Effect:
Deal 1 damage to an enemy Hexmaster up to 2 hexes away, in a straight line.
Obstacles are ignored.

Tactical Uses:

  • Hit without engaging — stay out of melee while applying pressure
  • Bypass screeners or terrain that would normally block line-of-sight
  • Combine with Mark for a 2-damage spike
  • Great for softening a target before a follow-up strike or trap play

Rules Clarifications:

  • “Straight line” follows standard hex-aligned vectors (like Dash or Long Shot)
  • Does not require line-of-sight — it ignores obstacles, not rules
  • You still cannot target through walls or off-board areas
